Social Participation
At Formosa Laboratories, employees are proactively invited to take part in social welfare activities and events concerning social care, environmental protection and education promotion while maintaining a friendly relationship with local communities and neighborhoods. Aside from organizing various activities and events to show our care for disadvantaged groups, Formosa Laboratories also ramps up industry-academia collaboration and exchanges to develop industrial talents, with a view to fulfilling corporate social responsibility and exerting our influence on an ongoing basis.

Local Community Care and Interaction
Formosa Laboratories maintains a longstanding commitment to sponsoring local neighborhood and village activities, temple events, and school activities while supporting various local community development activities and environmental protection promotion. We also send gifts and souvenirs to local officials, neighborhood and village chiefs, nearby police stations, and fire stations during the three major festivals in Taiwan (i.e., Lunar New Year, Dragon Boat Festival, and Mid-autumn Festival) to express our gratitude to them for their diligence and dedication to local communities throughout the year while maintaining a good relationship with local communities and neighborhoods.
Caring for the Local Community
Festival Event Sponsorship
Formosa Laboratories regularly donates to local community activities, temple events, and school activities. In 2022, a total of 12 events were sponsored, with a total activity fee of NT$130,000, supporting the development of various local activities and maintaining a good relationship with the local community.
Good Neighborliness
During the three major festivals (Lunar New Year, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival), gifts are personally delivered to local community, to express appreciation for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. This helps maintain a good interactive relationship. The gift boxes are selected from products made by local Taiwanese cooperative manufacturers, such as small farm tea gift boxes and local fruit products, which not only cozy up neighborly relations but also stimulate the local economy.
Local Community Assistance and Lookout
- Supplies Donation: Establish a smooth communication channel with the local village chief. If there are any requests for supplies, rice, rubbing alcohol, and other daily necessities will be distributed to the vulnerable residents in the area.
- Distributing Rubbing Alcohol: During the most severe period of the pandemic, the company fully committed to the fight against the pandemic by donating 75% alcohol to nearby schools, the Civil Affairs Office, the Keng-Kou Village Office, local residents, and all employees of Formosa Laboratories.
