A message to our clients and business partners concerning COVID-19
Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in China, we have been following the strict guidelines issued by the Taiwan Epidemic Prevention Center (TEPC) to safeguard the health and safety of our employees and people we get in contact with. Due to the effective implementation early on of preventive measures recommended by TEPC, which includes distribution and use of face masks, disinfecting the working environment, hand sanitization, daily health check on employees and visitors to our site, and social distancing, the growth rate of COVID-19 infected cases here in Taiwan has been kept at a manageable level, with most cases being imported.
We have also committed our resources and expertise to the fight against the spread of the pandemic, e.g. donating 75% bottled alcohol to our neighborhood communities and volunteering to play the role of API producer in the supply chain of certain drugs used as potential treatment for COVID-19 infection.
Our operation at the Taoyuan site has not experienced any interruption so far since the outbreak of the pandemic. We continue to produce and deliver our API products to our local and overseas clients. There has been minor delay in the supply of raw materials from China and the shipment of our products to certain parts of the world. We have been working diligently with relevant parties and minimized the impact from such delay. Our CDMO service has largely remained "business as usual". Although travel restriction in effect in most companies and countries has prevented us from face-to-face meeting with our clients, we have adopted video-conference or tele-conference as an alternative for the needed frequent communication.
As for our new injectable facilities, we are currently moving forward with equipment installation and qualification. There has been some delay caused by the shutdown on vendor’s side and the inability of vendor technicians to travel to Taiwan, but we are actively working out alternatives with the relevant parties and will minimize such delay to NMT 2 months, with updates done on a weekly basis.
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, we would do our best to meet the needs and expectations of our clients, while keeping our people safe and healthy.
